Old Notebooks

I don't think it is news, but I love notebooks. I have several. Some have been well loved and some are just not my favorite so they don't get used as often. I'm not really sure what makes a notebook worthy of my love but I think it has something to do with what ends up inside. Not so much what it looks like. Some of my most beautiful notebooks are only half full. So, a few weeks ago one of my notebooks only had ten pages left. I knew the end was near.
I have been holding off on filling them. It's like I am stalling the inevitable. Now today, my favorite teacher notebook for school has only ten pages left. I sort of let out a gasp. "Not you too!"
These are my two favorite notebooks. One for school and one for everything else. I've been dappling in some of my other notebooks but they just feel wrong.

  1. I have not been able to have that "intimate" relationship with my notebooks. I know it is something I need to use more than I do...especially the older I get! Forgetting things seems to be a reoccurrence!

  2. I had that same thing happen to me.. but I've only filled one and a half notebooks this year! I hate when I come to the end of a notebook.

  3. I have more than several "empty" notebooks, & keep finding the "ones" I like. Who knows why some fit, & some do not.Hope you find one, and soon!

  4. I'm looking forward to filling more of my notebooks since my collection of empty ones is bigger than the filled ones. My favorite ones usually end up being composition books - there's something about them that feels comfortable and non-threatening. I feel free to amble, ramble, doodle, scratch out and meander in them.

  5. I TOTALLY get this! I, too, am a few pages away from finishing my notebook. I can't decide which one I will start next. I picked one...not sure....then picked another. I'm actually carrying around the "new" notebook, but it still doesn't feel right. It happens EVERY time! I get so attached and it pains me to move on. Best of luck!! I feel your pain! :)
