Spring's Arrival
I think I heard you
you weren't too far away
but too far for my eyes
to capture your colors
In the mist, I look
I think I saw you
a flash of red and brown
in flight, I strain
but you are a blur
In the light, I wait
I think I feel you
closer now
I'll patiently await
your warmth rolling forward
Beautiful imagery - love how each stanza is a different sense. Your poem makes me hopeful for the spring!! Thank you for brightening my evening.

We are getting some very spring-like days of warm sunshine. I noticed the green shoots of daffodils coming up in front of my house= one bud so far, just about to open. Your poem catches the anticipation.
