Well, the pandemic is still raging, and life seems to just keep getting crazy. I am finding myself wholely out of balance, and I need a way to shut down. Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been filling the balance void with some laughter. I can't help but think about nothing when I watch it. I laugh ridiculously, and it relaxes me better than tea and a cozy blanket--I usually watch with tea and a cozy blanket.
If you haven't seen Brooklyn Nine-Nine, it's kind of like The Office meets a police precinct. It has quirky characters and is completely binge-worthy.
I haven't seen this show, but I might like it. My go-to escape is police shows. Not sure why...
ReplyDeleteOMG! First and foremost - wonderful food and/or nearly any show about - food! And when I can actually spare the time, I love Candy Crush (I'm a little late on this one, but love it just the same), Duolingo (for Spanish), and Asian Dramas on Netflix. I imagine this list sounds a little weird, but it makes me take a deep breath and forget all of the ills in the world. Thanks for sharing yours! It was most delightful :o)

Brooklyn Nine-nine is amazing! The kind of show I wish I could discover for the first time again. One of our pandemic shows (we've had a few as well...), also a sitcom, is Kim's Convenience (available on Netflix). Less binge-worthy, but delightful and comfortable, like the spot on the couch you just want to sit in for 30-60 minutes.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!!! That has been MY pandemic binge! I love it. Jake and Amy's relationship absolutely kills me. I think everyone sides with one of them... I hate to say it, but I'm probably more of an Amy. And can we talk about how hysterical Captain Holt is? Such great characters.
ReplyDeleteI have been watching all kinds of stuff on Netflix, but my favourite shows are the silly ones that make me laugh. And, I will not apologize for that.
